We left at 5am on Monday morning and set off for Folkestone. After a few hours, we arrived at the Eurotunnel. Finally, we arrived at the Chateau de Grande Romaine. We unpacked and had dinner. On Tuesday, we when to a French market in a town called Brie. Everything was really cheap! In the afternoon we chose some PGL team activities. On Wednesday, we visited Paris and went up the Eiffel Tower..
I only went to the first level as I am terrified of heights. After our picnic, we went on a boat trip on the river Seine. On our last day, we went back to Paris, this time to visit the Louvre museum, the Arc- de-Triomple, the Sacré Coeur and Montmartre. Overall this trip has been very educational, fun and interesting. I would highly recommend taking this fantastic opportunity. Gethin Henley (Y8)
My favourite part of the French Trip was the Eiffel Tower as it was a lot of fun. The climb was hard but it was worth it as the view was amazing! It was very interesting to learn about the culture of France and, although it took a while to reach a the places it was worth every minutes we had fun all the time and learned a lot. It was an amazing experience and I thanks Mrs Hall for planning the trip. Isaac Cornish (Y7)
The accommodation was great, we went to a French market and the Louvre where I saw the Mona Lisa painting (but I didn’t get a picture). We took part in some fun evening activities too (mini-olympics, rounders, campfire and crêpes making) and, in my opinion, crêpes making was the best one. I put chocolate sauce on one and strawberry jam on the other. We went up the Eiffel Tower and it was great. Altogether, it was a very fun trip. Jack Foulger (Y7)
