Welcome to Oakfield Academy's Library
Library
We are extremely fortunate, here at Oakfield, to have a beautiful large, airy and well-stocked library for all pupils to use and enjoy.
We have an excellent selection of fiction books for all levels, and we are always on the lookout for new and exciting additions to put on the shelves.
There is also a small non-fiction and reference section for pupils to find out more about the subjects they are studying in class.
The library is home to a set of brand-new Chromebooks which can be borrowed for school work during break, lunch and in after-school club.
All of our fiction books are part of the Accelerated Reader (AR) scheme, which enables pupils to take a quiz after reading a book and to earn certificates and badges.
The library is open every day from 8.30am – 4.00pm, and all pupils will visit the library once a week with their English teacher.
Oakfield Academy Library is a calm and purposeful space, where all pupils are welcome to come and find a quiet space during the busy school day.
